Story byLina Gozman
I looked at the hotel and imagined myself standing by a window, watching the fountains from above.
Once, a friend and I traveled to Las Vegas.
We were walking along the famous strip, surrounded by hotels, when we stopped near Bellagio, by the fountains.
We waited for the show to begin.
When it started, I froze.
I had never seen anything so powerful and beautiful with water.
I was so overwhelmed that even after the show ended, I couldn’t speak for almost a minute.
When I finally came back to myself, I felt a strong desire to stay in that hotel.
I knew my financial situation didn’t allow it at the time.
Still, I looked at the hotel and imagined myself standing by a window, watching the fountains from above.
I held that image clearly.
Eight months later, my company sent me to Las Vegas to support a conference.
And do you know which hotel they booked?
The Bellagio.
I couldn’t believe it.
They didn’t just book the hotel — they gave me the exact room I had once imagined.
When I entered the room, I ran straight to the window and sat there, watching the fountains.
